The Hobart Surgical Assistant Group was formed in 2016 with a view to providing a more streamlined process to booking surgical assistants across the Hobart Region.  Currently, we provide medically trained surgical assistants for regular, ad hoc, after hours and emergency cases.  We are in the process of onboarding nurse practitioners who have completed further qualifications for surgical assisting.  Each assistant is credentialed for work in the private hospitals of Hobart.  Each assistant also carries the appropriate medical indemnity insurance required for their work and, of course, is APRHA registered.

Our surgical assistants are both "known gap" and "no gap" providers. The majority of our accounts are processed via eclipse which reduces administrative input and improves payment wait times.
